So, now that I have somewhat figured out what this blogging business is all about, here goes a little update to where the Glenn family is right now! Daxton is 18 months old, as of yesterday, and I do believe we are quickly reaching the "terrible two's." He will randomly throw a fit and a lot of the time I have NO idea what the heck he is mad about. Other than the fit throwing he is a sweet, playful, happy, and VERY energetic little man! He is babbling constantly, though he still seems to speak his own language most of the time. He does say certain words, mainly people's names. He loves to ride 4-wheelers with his Uncle Bubba, when it's warm outside. His bicycle is probably his favorite toy, with his tool bench coming in second place. He gives big cheesey smiles when he is told to "smile." He knows where various body parts are and can point to them when you ask him where they are. He has learned where his "boogers" are thanks to Aunt B! LOL. He is pretty stubborn and I have NO idea where he gets it (definitely not from me or anything). He is a "blankie" baby and I think it's the cutest thing ever! He spends his weekdays playing with his cousins and his weekends with his mommy and daddy running errands, going out to eat, and going to visit other family! We have also recently started a little play group with some other girls that have little one's about the same age, we all try to make it as often as we can to play on Fridays at this little place in Moore that is super fun for the kiddo's!
Ty is kicking butt at his job, as always. He just recently won a trip to St. Thomas for being one of the top Sales people in his company. He was the only person in his office, in the state, and in his entire region to get to go so we are super excited! He was the 5th top sales person in the entire company for the 2008 year. So, we leave for St. Thomas on March 15th at 5:30 in the A.M, yes I said in the A.M!!! While we are there they are taking us on a Snuba tour, it's a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving...you get to go under the water for 45 minutes with a small air hose, so you don't have to wear all the scuba gear... we're excited about that! And, they are giving us 2 $150 spa gift certificates to use while we are there! So we will get to relax at the spa and have some massages. We also have a big formal awards banquet to go to on our last night there where they will acknowledge the employees for various things. So, like I said, Ty is kicking butt at his job!
I am staying SUPER busy with work, school, Daxton, and everything else that comes along with being a wife and mom! I work Monday through Thursday, and I have Fridays off to spend with the little guy! I am going to school full time to finish my Elementary Ed degree and should be finished about this time next year. I stay super busy working during the day and then studying at night after Daxton goes to bed. But, I am moving along in my classes and soon it will be over and I can actually rest at night! This weekend is my birthday and I actually feel different about this birthday. Most are just like any other day, but for some reason 26 seems so much older, hmmmmm... I guess that's what happens.
This is the life of the Glenns for now, like I said, it is never boring for us!
